“I will turn their mourning into laughter and their sadness into JOY.”  Jeremiah 31:13

We have been through a season.  It has been difficult.  In some ways it still is.  And yet, we come to this time when you and I are called to see our faith demonstrated in the story of the incarnation…when God became flesh and pitched a tent in the midst of difficulty, sorrow and wondering “where is our God”?  Into this time and place came the promise fulfilled.  And with that celebration of fulfillment comes great joy again and again!

This season of Advent we are called to rediscover joy in our lives as we celebrate our faith in God’s love poured on all of creation through Jesus.  The story describes a joy that is revealed in surprising ways…and which is still available to us who have the eyes to see it.  Let’s rediscover joy together this season of Advent!
