Just as there are seasons in the year, there are seasons in our lives that we celebrate. As a community of faith, we believe that these life events are part of the journey we make with God and with one another, and therefore Florence Christian Church provides spiritual support and encouragement through them.

Wedding Ministry

Weddings are joyous times of celebrating love between two people who covenant to share their lives together. Our pastors and staff are available to help with the planning and preparation for the beginning of this life-long journey.

Call the Church Office, 859-647-5000 Ext. 1, to begin the journey.

Funeral Ministry

All of us face the end of life on this side of eternity. And yet, this is not the end for those of us who believe the Gospel message. Part of the ministry that Florence Christian Church offers is support of those who are dying, as well as for the families who grieve. Our pastors are equipped and available to provide pastoral care, planning and officiating funeral services.

Child Dedications

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them…for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) Children are precious to God, to their parents, and to Florence Christian Church! We recognize our responsibility to support and love children into the Christian faith. Infant and Child dedications provide the opportunity to promise before God and one another that commitment. If you are interested a child dedication service, please contact one of our pastors.

Milestone Ministry

Over our lives, there are many milestones or markers that are significant: birth, school, baptism, communion, getting your driver’s license, graduation, college, adulthood…and the list goes on. To celebrate these milestones, Florence Christian Church has developed rituals to remind us that God is with us through all of life’s journey.

Some example of these milestone rituals that we celebrate with the worshiping community every year include: Backpack Blessing, Bible presentations, Graduation recognition, All Saints Day remembrance, Baptisms and baptismal renewal ceremonies.
