The AARP Community Challenge Grant funded projects that achieve one of several outcomes. Our project improved transportation and mobility options by increasing connectivity, walkability, bikeability, wayfinding, and access a wider range of transportation choices in Florence and Boone County.

The grant achieved the implementation of a safe and visually pleasing gathering place for bikes and bicyclists.  It facilitated safer access to an existing walk-up pantry and entrance to the building.  It expresses the expansive welcome of our campus by virtue of the unique resource of public use of tools for bicycle repair.
