The sale of the property in Union, which was authorized by congregational vote in March 2019, will soon be completed. This journey has been over two years, which is not an unusual timeline for this type of commercial sale, especially in the midst of a global pandemic. The Trustees will close on the sale of the property by the end of the year. Our current Trustees are Drew Murphy, Josh Crabtree, and Todd Reed. Per the congregational vote, funds from the sale will be held in an interest-bearing account until the congregation decides how the funds will be invested.

The development which our property is part of has been approved by the Union City Commission and the Boone County Planning Commission. The development will be called Union Promenade, a 62-acre residential and commercial development. You can read more about the development plans in a recent article in the River City News “Union Approves 62-acre Residential, Commercial Development” https://www.rcnky.com/articles/2021/11/10/union-approves-62-acre-residential-commercial-development
